The AMD Ryzen 7 5800H is a mobile processor for larger laptops that are supposed to offer a higher performance class. The manufacturer can configure the processor with a TDP between 35 and 54 watts, and Lenovo decides the golden medium of 45 watts. It is surprising that most reference points do not show a significant performance advantage of the best Ryzen 9 5900hx. Intel processors in Alienware competitors and MSI served at a level quite similar to Ryzen 7.
